in june, we drove our model 3 to oregon.
it didn't go too well.
first, we didn't realize until we got to lassen volcanic national park that most roads were still closed over there due to snow.
at crater lake, risa slipped while walking on snow and got scratches.
in redding, we realized there was no supercharger near where we were staying.
we wasted many hours for driving and charging.
finally, we hit a deer on the freeway. the deer got away (probably injured ??) by the time we pulled over.
the repair cost us a good amount of time and money.

in august, we took a 2.6-week vacation and went to norway for the second time.
we rented a car and drove around the senja and lofoten areas in the north.
then we flew back to oslo and explored the fjords in the south by train, boat, and bus.
the landscapes were spectacular, people were nice, food was delicious, and it was so easy to get around.
we love the country!

we flew to hanoi and spent a few days in vietnam for thanksgiving.
we took an overnight tour to cruise through thousands of islets in h? long bay,
and another day trip to ninh b??nh province to hike up the scenic mountain and explore caves.
it was a short but relaxing trip.

besides spending time with our families in tokyo, we visited two exhibitions of teamlab?? featuring large room-scale art installations filled with light and sound. it is like stepping into the scenes of sci-fi movies. we highly recommend it. please take a look at japan guide for more details.
